Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 24, 2026 • Application: Simple Health Export (com.jjmpinc.AppleHealthExport)
Simple Health Export ("the App") is developed by JJMP Inc. to let you export your own Apple HealthKit metrics into weekly CSV and JSON Lines (.jsonl) files stored locally on your device and optionally synchronized directly to your personal Google Drive account.
1. Apple HealthKit Data We Access
With your explicit read-only permission granted via iOS/iPadOS HealthKit, the App reads only the categories you select to export:
- Resting Heart Rate and Heart Rate Variability (SDNN)
- Sleep Analysis (sleep stages and duration)
- Heart Rate Notifications (low, high, and irregular rhythm events) and Electrocardiogram (ECG) recordings
- Workouts (walking, running, cycling, hiking, strength training, duration, energy burned, distance, heart rate statistics, and effort score)
- Cardio Fitness (VO2 Max) and 1-Minute Heart Rate Recovery
- Body Mass, Body Fat Percentage, and Lean Body Mass
- Overnight Sleeping Wrist Temperature, Respiratory Rate, Blood Oxygen (SpO2), and Breathing Disturbances
- Daily Steps, Walking/Running Distance, Flights Climbed, and Activity Ring summaries
HealthKit data is processed strictly in memory on your device to generate weekly CSV and JSONL files inside the App's local Documents folder (accessible via the iOS Files app) and, only if you choose to connect Google Drive, uploaded directly from your device to your own Google Drive over HTTPS.
2. Google User Data & Google Drive API Scopes
If you choose to connect your Google Drive account, the App authenticates directly with Google OAuth 2.0 using Proof Key for Code Exchange (PKCE) and requests only the following least-privilege scope:
-
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file— Allows the App to create and update only the specific folder (e.g.,AppleHealthExport/) and weekly export files created by the App itself. The App cannot read, modify, or delete any other files or folders in your Google Drive.
In addition, the App queries Google Drive's /drive/v3/about?fields=user(displayName,emailAddress) endpoint solely to display your connected Google account email address inside the App's connection settings view.
3. How Data Is Stored & Protected
- On-Device Storage: Exported CSV and JSONL files and SHA-256 sync cache metadata are stored locally inside the App's sandboxed container on your iOS or iPadOS device.
- OAuth Tokens: Your Google OAuth 2.0 access and refresh tokens are stored only on your local device and are used exclusively to authenticate direct HTTPS requests from your device to
https://oauth2.googleapis.comandhttps://www.googleapis.com/drive/v3. - Direct-to-Drive Encryption in Transit: All communication with Google APIs is encrypted in transit using TLS (HTTPS).
- Zero Third-Party Sharing or Advertising: HealthKit data and Google user data are never used for advertising, marketing, profiling, or training machine learning models, and are never disclosed to third parties.
4. Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use Disclosure)
Simple Health Export's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Revoking Access & Deleting Your Data
- Disconnect in the App: You can tap Disconnect / Clear Token inside the App's Google Drive settings sheet at any time to immediately remove stored OAuth tokens from your device.
- Revoke Google Account Permissions: You can revoke the App's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account Permissions page.
- Revoke Apple Health Permissions: You can disable HealthKit read access at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Simple Health Export.
- Delete Exported Files: Because all exported files reside in your local Files app and in your personal Google Drive folder, you retain full ownership and can delete them at any time.
